Social Media Marketer (Part-Time) | USA (CA)
This is an opportunity to shape the public voice of a mental health startup from its earliest stage - part-time, but high ownership and high influence
About the project
Inner Child is an early-stage startup developing a gamified mobile mental well-being app for adults who grew up without consistent emotional care and now struggle with self-worth, self-criticism, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and loneliness.
Our product helps people address these root patterns through the psychological framework of the “inner child,” transforming heavy emotional work into a supportive, engaging, and gently gamified experience.
To put it simply, we will help people become happier adults and receive care, love, support, recognition from a person who is always with you - yourself!
The app will focus on helping people close their unmet emotional needs from childhood, introduce them to gamified psychoeducation such as how to get rid of self-criticism, connect with your inner child, become OK with yourself now (that is not in an ideal future when you’re successful or “good enough”), get rid of perfectionism.
Opportunity
Inner Child work is well-known in culture and often used in therapy, however, it is not something that is available on the app well-being market - which means we can be the first ones to test the public's interest on this topic.
Our first public release will occur in March 2026, mainly to test interest, engagement, and get feedback about the app in order to learn about our market and direct future development.
Our team currently does not have a marketing or social media management expert on staff - this is where you come in. Your main responsibilities are to help us set up our media presence and acquire first users, and we will rely heavily on your experience and expertise to do that.
Our marketing must feel:
Safe, warm, and emotionally intelligent;
Psychologically grounded;
Hopeful but not superficial;
Honest without being clinical.
As we are only starting and don’t have external funding, this position is two months long with 500$ compensation per month. If we like working with each other we can continue our collaboration with the ability to pay you fairly as soon as we secure our first funds. You are the one who can help us reach this milestone😉💵.
If you are a highly experienced professional who can make a huge impact on the business you might expect to get synthetic shares or equity.
